Setting up Super X-Fi profile is easy! Simply follow the steps below and be well on your way to Super X-Fi audio holography!
Step 1
Download SXFI App on your mobile device and register for a Super X-Fi account.
(This is different from your Creative Store account).
Step 2
Create your Super X-Fi profile via the SXFI App, select 'Personalize' via the menu tab, and follow the guided Head and Ear-Mapping process.
Step 4
Load your Super X-Fi profile onto Sound Blaster X3 by logging onto your account (as registered in Step 1) on Creative app software via the SXFI tab.
And you're done! Toggle Super X-Fi on and off directly on X3 button and experience the ultimate movie experience on your desktop.
The X3 is highly versatile and compatible with many devices! Featuring a myriad of connectivity options, X3 is specially designed to be used with many platforms — you'll be spoilt for choice.

Find the perfect harmony between two audio sources with X3's Audio Balance feature — perfect for use during conference calls while listening to music or podcasts at the same time. X3's Volume Control Knob allows you to toggle your audio control between the SPDIF interface and speaker sources simply by turning the knob left to right, and vice versa.
You can also control the volume mix between your gaming audio and voice audio of your teammates to hear them better.
Right out of the box, there are three specially-tuned EQ modes that are designed to enhance audio for different usages. Simply press the "Mode" button on X3 to cycle through the different modes — Music, Movies, and Footsteps Enhancer.
These EQ modes are also customizable so you can further tweak them to your liking, and save your preferred settings to each mode via the Creative app software or mobile app.

Sound Mode*

Super X-Fi

Acoustic Engine*
Customize your Acoustic Engine effects like Surround, Crystalizer, Bass, Smart Volume, and Dialog+ individually for both headphones and speakers.
Equalizer
Personalize your EQ settings with this 10-band EQ to your liking. You can also make adjustments to the Preamp, Bass, and Treble sound settings. The default EQ modes—Music, Movies, and Footsteps Enhancer—can be toggled directly on the Sound Blaster X3 device. You can also tweak them further and save your settings to each mode.
CrystalVoice*
Adjust your Noise Reduction level, activate Acoustic Echo Cancellation and Smart Volume for better communication quality, and select from a list of pre-tuned Mic EQs. Just to make things a little more fun, there's a list of Voice Morph options that allows you to change your voice into different characters and accents.
Direct Mode
Delivers audio in its purest form, directly from the source. When Direct Mode is activated, all audio effects will not be applied to your audio output. This function can be toggled directly on the Sound Blaster X3 device.
Scout Mode*
For the avid gamers, activate Scout Mode to enhance important in-game audio cues that highlights each and every audio detail—the sound of your enemies' gun reloads or a slight ruffle in the grass. You can also assign a hot key on your keyboard on your PC.
Encoder
Encode any stereo or multi-channel streams into high-fidelity immersive Dolby Digital Live surround sound.
Mixer
Make instant adjustments to your Playback, Monitoring, and Recording settings based on the different audio sources.
For more convenience, you can also manage Sound Blaster X3 from your mobile devices using wireless Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) via the Creative app app. Without the hassle of switching between PC and console, you can customize and save EQ settings, switch between EQ and SXFI, or switch between Headphone and Speaker output — all the necessary controls on your mobile phone.

Personally, I like the X3 a lot and in my opinion Creative Labs put together an excellent product and implemented it with precision. I say this because there were moments were I listened to specific sections of a movie long after what I needed to hear had past. The sound experience kept me engaged even when I was suppose to move on to something else. This is what good audio is about. Capturing and captivating you and not letting you go which is something you can not physically measure.

Sound pumped through the Sound Blaster X3 is greatly enhanced, especially with Hi-Res compared to merely using a motherboard line out port. It's also effortless to switch between EQ modes, toggling SXFI, and there's plenty of options in the Sound Blaster Command software. The X3 sounds great and will be a welcomed upgrade for those on basic or integrated solutions.

Creative gave the Sound Blaster X3 capabilities to do more than just PC audio, too. Along with Mac compatibility, the Sound Blaster X3 can work with the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in docked mode. These consoles detect the Sound Blaster X3 as a discrete USB headset, and feed it audio as one. This lets you use any analog headset you want with your console.

Creative has sought to extend the usefulness of its USB DAC products by releasing a model equipped with its unique in-house SXFI technology. The Sound Blaster X3, priced at £110, offers a really nice, accurate direct sound when connected to high-quality headphones or speakers.

The last time I used a Sound Blaster product was over a decade ago, but I fully plan on using their products more in the future. The Sound Blaster X3 has a lot of power for your audio needs and is an asset to your gaming or streaming rig. Combine that with its good pricing and you have an excellent choice for an external DAC/amp.

It's quite amazing what a number of different algorithms and audio processing can do to an audio experience. I've used a number of different amplifiers and other hardware to improve the audio-quality from the Switch but nothing to date has made as much of an impact as the Sound Blaster X3. Since it utilizes a USB connection I've been able to replicate the same experience on both my PC and PlayStation 4 with relative ease, simply moving the USB connection is the only adjustment needed. If high-end audio is important to you while playing in docked mode at home, I highly recommend trying out the Sound Blaster X3 with your setup.

Bringing it all down to just a few words, I have to say that the Creative Sound Blaster X3 is a great device for the price (roughly US$120) that might have some software-related issues that will surely go away as new updates arrive. Two of my audiophile friends have been using the Sound Blaster X3 for months as well and they are very happy with it overall. In the end, this is what really matters — to get the best bang for your buck and the Sound Blaster X3 often punches above its league.

I am a DAC convert! Such devices have been on my radar for some time but never had I thought the benefit would be enough to push such an upgrade ahead of others on my system. Creative have released this X3 DAC at around the £110 mark which is a comparable price with other good quality USB DACs. The fact that this also handles Microphone and Line inputs is a bonus as many only handle headphone output.

Other than the plastic case and buttons the SoundBlaster X3 overall is a great audio experience when connected with the apps. The mic sometimes echoes but is not a huge problem for the user and can be solved but it is full of options and great settings for all sorts of games. The pre-set options for numerous games, default earphones and the options to change the audio experience is a delight for gaming, a setup in the right direction to enhance the audio gaming experience.

Out of the box without any of the features turned on it sounds great. It also ends up being well beyond a headphone DAC and is truly a full DAC for your headphones, microphone, and speakers. They also have support for multiple game consoles as well which is nice.

Absolutely love this product. After buying endless headphones for my gaming and music consumption, I have finally found what I was missing. If you are looking for something that brings to life your music and your games. This is a necessity for any set up. The software was extremely easy to use and within 10 minutes you'll have everything setup and ready to go. Plus it looks great on my desk!
Great sound and great software. Expected from Creative. My sound experience has been elevated to another level.
Works well, especially the volume. At one stage, I even got the TRRS feature working which had a single plug for Headphone and Mic from my VModa Boom pro in the headphone socket, but it kept glitching when the device lost power or USB reset, and i've since gone back to the splitter. Software is okay, the voice mod/noise filters could be improved to remove background noise or fan noise, but that's a wishlist kind of item.
Excellent audio interface for home entertainment computer. Reliable, too.

What is Audio Balance?
Audio Balance allows user to control and attenuate the output volume of 2 separate playback endpoints by turning the volume knob in a clockwise/anti-clockwise direction. The 2 playback endpoints on Sound Blaster X3 are Speakers and SPDIF Out respectively. Applying this concept, user can launch 2 different software with one output/playback its audio to "Speakers" and the other playback its audio to "SPDIF Out".
User can apply such configuration in various scenarios such as listening to music while chatting with friends on a VoIP software, you will want to listen to the music and reduce the chat volume when the conversation is not of interest to you; or watching a movie while listening to a podcast; or when playing a FPS game with team mates when the game audio over-powers your team mates' chat volume, you will want to reduce the game audio so that you can hear your team mates' chat clearer, or vise-versa.

Why does the Super X-Fi feature automatically switches off when I turn on EQ?
Super X-Fi is an audio technology that naturally recreates the sound stage of a high-end, multi speaker system. So, users can enjoy the maximum capability of Super X-Fi.
When Super X-Fi is turned on, the EQ modes will be switched off. Similarly, when the EQ mode is switched on, Super X-Fi will be switched off.
